the Emperor is the enigmatic ruler of the Galactic Empire as of 15 ABY. Shrouded in complete mystery, the Emperor rose to power from the shadows, using his apprentice, Darth Malign, to eliminate Darth Malus and clear the throne for him. Upon revealing himself as the Empire's new leader in 15 ABY, a month after the Sixth Battle of Coruscant, he was lauded by some Imperials as a charlatan and one who would destroy the Empire; this lead to a coup led by Danik Kreldin. Although it failed, it did a lot to shaken the foundation of the Empire, leading to the creation of the Restoration of the New Order.
