In Imperial Service Edit
In New Republic Service Edit
A Brigadier General in the New Republic Military was often the "head honcho' of a flagship or command post.
In the New Republic Army, they were occasionally given command of an entire Corps or Brigade of troops and support personnel. Other times, they were appointed to serve as aides to a higher ranking General in the field. More often earned than appointed, most men who held this rank were hardened troopers, have had their share of combat experience, and were top notch at what they do.
In the New Republic Starfighter Corps, these men were occasionally put in charge of an entire wing of pilots and support personnel. Other times, they were appointed to serve as aides to the Director of Starfighter Operations, or to a higher ranking general in the field. More often appointed than earned, most men who held this rank were ace pilots with a plethora of combat experience.
